“Man I would love to invite him for a braai.” A dancing cop has made South Africans smile!

Port Elizabeth, South Africa (14 August, 2023) — A dancing cop has made South Africans in Port Elizabeth and beyond smile and thank him for his service in making SA mornings better.

Something of a local celebrity, after the video Queen Seba Makwabe posted on TikTok rocketed off to half a million views, people all over recognised the traffic cop and sang his positive praises.

People have dubbed him ‘the only cop that matters’ and applauded him for immaculate vibes—with some Capetonians even entering the conversation to share that his happiness lifted their spirits despite the recent stress regarding the taxi strikes.

SA Reacts to Top Traffic Cop

The joy oozing from the video’s comments section was infectious and reminded us that few things unite South Africans like dance and positive energy in the most unsuspecting places (like a tar dance floor).

Here are some of the most wholesome reactions:

“Man I would love to invite him for a braai,” wrote @ruannekeefer3.

“We need to celebrate people like this because they remind us that we can be better and do better,” shared @marieechstadt.

“The only traffic cop that matters,” shared @sazana083 lovingly.

“Give him the Bells, cos he is the Best Hero of Traffic Control,” another user awarded him.

“Always my daily dose of cheer everytime I pass by him there,” @shekinas_glory added.

“As someone currently living in CPT with all of this BS and negativity; this brought me such overwhelming joy,” commented @lisaborainelee93.
