This is for his dedication to bridging the gaps in reproductive and sexual health education in a quick, easy-to-follow fashion, providing knowledge not everyone can afford to access.
From debunking medical myths to breaking stigmas around HIV and Aids and providing all-important education on women’s and men’s health, Dr Siya has built an impressive repertoire of content helpful not only to South Africans but to a fan base of nearly 3 million people from around the world on TikTok alone.
Dr Siya’s local win is a big moment for his career as a social media influencer and stands proudly alongside his many medical achievements including collaborating with the World Health Organization and working with the Western Cape and National Department of Health.
