Three super talented stars-in-the-making from Joburg, Biko’s Manna, were invited to audition for America’s Got Talent, and South Africans can’t stop singing their praises.

Johannesburg, South Africa (28 March 2023) — If your ears haven’t yet been blessed by the talents of Biko’s Manna, you’re in for a treat. And, we’re not the only ones who think so. The three siblings from Joburg were recently invited to audition for none other than America’s Got Talent.

A tiny dancer and pianist, Jacob Collier-inspired guitarist and songbird sister teamed up to create Biko’s Manna, a name inspired by their grandmother, according to YOU. With Biko’s strumming, Manna’s gorgeous vocal cords and Mfundo’s adorable dance moves, the Nhlangothi family is making impressive musical moves.

Just listen:

Of their come-up, Biko and Manna teamed up initially as a brother-sister-duo. They’d perform in Maboneng to crowds on weekends and easily became a crowd-favourite.

Later, little Mfundo would join the jams with quirky dance moves and a sweet stage presence. Of this, Manna shared that seeing people’s reactions to their music makes her feel like she’s a good person, per Beautiful News.

The crowd soon moved from Maboneng to the world after Biko’s Manna earned viral acclaim on TikTok.<

@bikosmanna We are so grateful that we have finally reached 100k followers on TikTok!!! We are looking forward to our journey ahead!!! WE LOVE YOUUU!!🤍🤍🤍AND THANK YOUUUUU!!!😭✨✨ #BikoStar #MannaHero #TauLion ♬ original sound – BikosManna

Considering from artistic roots (their grandmother is Dr Tu Nokwe and their parents are Ayanda Nhlangothi and Sebone Rangata), the musical bug bit them all at young ages. Manna (13) began singing at just 7 years old. Biko (17) also fell in love with music early on, and Mfundo is 8.

Inspired by covers, their own creations and South African singers, their music is as beautiful as it is versatile. Manna’s voice tingles in your ears just like Summer Walker, and we’re sure Jacob Collier would adore Biko’s guitar skills.

We can’t wait to see them own the America’s Got Talent Stage, as other locals like the Ndlovu Youth Choir have.
