The department of health revealed that all over-18s in South Africa will be able to book their Covid-19 vaccine from TOMORROW.
South Africa (19 August 2021) – Over-18s will start to receive the coronavirus jab from tomorrow already. The initial registration date for this age group was 1 September 2021.
This is according to the national department of health.
“Cabinet welcomed the vaccination roll out plan to increase the uptake of vaccines, particularly in provinces that had shown a reduction in the uptake of vaccines. As part of increasing the vaccination roll-out programme, Cabinet approved the vaccination of persons aged between 18 and 35 years from 20 August 2021,” Cabinet says.
So far, more than ten million South Africans have been vaccinated against Covid. Over four million South Africans are fully inoculated.
The South African Medical Association (SAMA) encourages everyone above the age of 18 to register for a jab.
“The jabs are working, we have to keep coming forward to get them,” SAMA chair, Angelique Coetzee told us.
“The vaccination brings us hope and I encourage every single adult to register for this vaccine,” she says.

- You can also register by SMS by dialing *134*832*your ID number#
- If you don’t have an ID number, just dial *134*832#.
Walk-ins, however, are allowed. So… GO and get vaccinated!
