This horse ain’t big enough for a human. But it is the perfect size for an owl.
A staff member from Bibi & George, an owl café in Kobe, Japan, posted three delightful videos to Instagram last Saturday of one owl — an owl sheriff, to be precise — riding gallantly on an animatronic horse.
The horse, ever loyal, performs a lovely country tune as the owl sheriff surveys the town. “We’re going riding, riding, riding,” the horse sings.
And they are going riding. They are indeed.
But it’s the song’s final words that are most apt for an owl.
“A hootin’ and a hollerin’ all day,” the horse sings, and we’d like to imagine that’s when the duo trots off into the sunset.
Perhaps hootin’ owls were meant to be cowboys all along.
