Communities across South Africa are done waiting and are taking matters into their own hands, cleaning up the streets and creating meaningful employment.

South Africa (12 January 2024) – Community action groups are changing the way South Africans see things like potholes, overgrown curbs, filthy beaches and waste management (to name but a few). These groups are taking matters into their own hands and uplifting communities in the process.

Whether they focus solely on cleaning beaches, restoring rivers, collecting litter, mowing lawns or maintaining roads, these organisations unite communities in efforts to make South Africa a better place.

Every year, since the start of the pandemic in 2020, the Good Things Guy team has been working on these charity lists. This list is actually a new one that we have never shared before. It features all the organisations working to uplift and clean communities through active citizenship.

If we have missed an organisation or charity, please email tyler@goodthingsguy.com, and we will add it soonest; kindly supply the relevant links as well as which province they work in, the NPO/NGO/NPC registration details and a brief description of what the organisation does.

Please note, this is a working list, so keep sending through your charities and groups, and we will keep adding them!
